1. Cut leaves: It is critical to choose leaves for cuttings. You need to cultivate a strong mother plant so that the survival rate of the leaves cut from it will be high. Choose undamaged leaves to cut, which should be plump, fresh, and free of pests and diseases. Cut them into sections and place them aside to wait for the cuts to dry. You cannot do cuttings directly. If the wound is not dry and you insert it into the soil, it will cause rot.

2. Prepare the soil: Prepare suitable soil. You can choose breathable and loose soil. You can also use vermiculite, perlite, river sand, etc. Do not use it after preparation. It must be disinfected first.

3. Carry out cuttings: Dip the dried leaves in a little rooting powder, and then insert them into the substrate at a depth of about 3-4 cm. Do not insert them too deep.

4. Post-management: Place the Sansevieria after cuttings in a cool place, keep it well ventilated, spray water regularly to keep it moist, maintain a good surrounding temperature, and try to keep it warm. It will take about half a month to take root, especially the rooting speed is slow, so you must be patient and wait after cuttings.

2. Cutting time

There are not many restrictions on the time for Sansevieria cuttings. Try to keep the time around March to September, and the temperature just needs to be kept above 15 degrees Celsius. Spring cuttings are more favorable in April and May.
