How to grow a fragrant osmanthus more luxuriantly

How to grow a fragrant osmanthus more luxuriantly

A touch of fragrance growing conditions

Yimoxiang likes a warm environment, and the appropriate growth temperature is 25℃~30℃. It needs a temperature above 5℃~10℃ in winter. It likes sunlight. In a sunny environment, the fleshy leaves become thicker, and the leaves become flat and thinner in insufficient light. The plant likes loose, well-drained soil and substrate.

How to maintain a scent

The cultivation of the osmanthus should be carried out in a sunny place, as good light is conducive to its growth. Watering is generally done every 5 to 6 days, and it can be done when it is hot. Fertilization should be done once every 20 days, using low-concentration fertilizers. The temperature during the cultivation period is around 25-30℃, and must not be lower than 5℃, and the fluidity should be sufficient.

A touch of fragrant water

Ipomoea australis cannot tolerate moisture. If the soil in the pot is too wet, the roots will easily rot. Water the plant after the soil is dry. Reduce watering on cloudy days. After summer, be sure to water less and control watering in winter.

A touch of fragrance

During the growing period of Ipomoea amaranth, it only needs to be fertilized with thin water once a month, or solid fertilizer can be buried at the bottom of the pot. If too much fertilizer is applied, the watering frequency can be increased to dilute the temporary fertilizer concentration in the potting soil.

Pest and disease control

The main diseases of Ipomoea amaranth are leaf spot and leaf blight. Pay special attention to the prevention of leaf spot. After the onset of the disease, you can spray it with mancozeb. When preventing leaf blight, the humidity is too high. After the onset of the disease, spray it with carbendazim.

The main pests of Ipomoea australis are scale insects and aphids. To deal with scale insects, you can cut off the infested branches and leaves, and use chlorpyrifos and omethoate emulsifiable concentrate. Aphids can be cut off with bamboo strips and then sprayed with malathion emulsion.

Yimoxiang Family Cultivation Method

1. Soil: The osmanthus fragrans has high requirements for the soil. It prefers loose, well-drained soil that can provide sufficient nutrients for the growth of the plant.

2. Light: Ipomoea australis likes sunlight. Generally, the leaves of succulents are thick and grow better in an environment with sufficient sunlight. However, do not place them in the sun for too long. The leaves will turn yellow if the temperature is too high.

3. Watering: Ipomoea australis is not tolerant to moisture. Too much water can easily cause root rot and yellowing of leaves. Therefore, when watering the soil, you should follow the principle of neither dry nor wet and control the amount of water.

4. Fertilization: Amaranthus needs a lot of nutrients during its growth process, so it must be fertilized regularly. However, the principle of applying thin fertilizers frequently should be followed. Apply a little fertilizer each time and every few days. Do not apply too much fertilizer.

A hint of fragrance maintenance precautions

In the process of cultivating the fragrant plant, attention should be paid to timely pruning to promote the growth of new branches and make its momentum more vigorous. In addition, the demand for fertilizer is small during the breeding process, and care should be taken to avoid applying concentrated fertilizers and stop fertilizing in winter.
