How to grow jasmine in autumn

How to grow jasmine in autumn

1. Temperature

Temperature is an extremely important factor in autumn maintenance. Because the temperature is relatively high in early autumn, but will gradually decrease over time and become very cold in late autumn, the maintenance in the early and late stages is completely different. Specifically, around fifteen degrees is best. Therefore, if it is too hot in the early stage, you need to cool down, and if it is too hot in the later stage, you need to keep warm. When winter is approaching, it is best to move it indoors to facilitate flowering later.

2. Watering

In autumn, you should control watering appropriately, and add some water when you see that the soil is very dry. You can even skip watering. If you water too much, it may cause the branches to grow too long and affect subsequent flowering.

3. Fertilization

It does require fertilizer, but not too much. It only needs to be applied once or twice a month, and decomposed liquid fertilizer can be used. Be careful to control the concentration and not make it too high.

4. Pest control

For forsythia, the main pest is "aphids". To deal with this pest, you can use 40% concentration of omethoate solution to kill them.

5. Lighting

In autumn, it does not require too much light because the winter jasmine itself is quite shade-tolerant. However, it cannot be kept in a dark place for a long time and appropriate light exposure must be provided. However, the light in early autumn is still relatively strong, so try to avoid this light.
