What to do if the leaves of Anthurium turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of Anthurium turn yellow

1. Proper water management

When we care for the plants indoors, there will often be water accumulation in the pot soil. After the water accumulates, the roots of the plants will rot. After the roots rot, nutrients cannot reach the leaves, and the leaves will turn yellow. At this time, we can remove the plants from the pots and look at the growth status of the roots. If there are not many rotten places, you can cut off the rotten parts slightly, put them in a ventilated and cool place, and wait for the pot soil to dry before watering them. If the root rot is more serious, the roots of the plants should be re-pruned in time, disinfected after changing the soil, and then replanted, waiting for the plants to recover on their own.

2. Unsuitable light exposure

Anthurium plants cannot withstand the burning if they are exposed to the refraction of sunlight for a long time, and yellow spots will appear. The plants should be semi-shaded in time, or brought into a bright place indoors, and only need to be given appropriate scattered light.

Observe the growing environment of your own anthurium. If it is in a dark corner, it is because it lacks light and has yellow leaves. You need to supplement light in time, and you can take it to the window or balcony.

3. Fertilizer Harm

If you apply raw fertilizer or the amount of fertilizer is too large or too concentrated, you must add water to dilute it in time and drain the excess fertilizer through irrigation. If it cannot be drained out, you must change the soil and replant.

Lack of fertilizer can also cause yellow leaves in anthurium. It is necessary to add decomposed liquid fertilizer or replace the nutrient soil as soon as possible. During normal maintenance, pay attention to applying thin fertilizers frequently and avoid too concentrated fertilizers.
