How to propagate Nine-headed Lion Grass

How to propagate Nine-headed Lion Grass

1. Division

Nine-headed lion grass is generally divided by division. If it is in the southern region, it can be done between March and April. When dividing the plant, dig up the mother plant with its roots and divide it into several small stumps, and make sure that each small stump has a seedling or 4-5 roots.

2. Planting

Prepare the planting soil suitable for its growth and plant them separately, with the distance between each plant not too close. The best planting depth is 10-14 cm. After completion, press the soil firmly and water once to help the roots take hold.

3. Maintenance

After it survives, it needs to be applied with an appropriate amount of human and animal manure. The concentration of the fertilizer should not be too high and should be as light as possible. Weeds will appear during its growth period, and they should be removed in time when discovered to avoid excessive consumption of nutrients.
