How to grow enoki mushrooms yourself

1. Preparation

There are not many things you need to prepare to grow enoki mushrooms yourself. Mix cottonseed hulls, slaked lime, sawdust and water evenly, put them in a plastic bag as nutrients, and pinch the water content with your hands to ensure that water can seep out but no water flow is formed. Select high-quality fungus strains and the plastic bags you need to use, wrap the fungus strains in the plastic bags, add nutrients, place them in a box covered with newspapers, and cover them with a transparent bag.

2. Stay hydrated

When small enoki mushrooms appear, place the cultivation box at 10 to 18 degrees Celsius and spray water every once in a while. Be careful not to spray directly on the enoki mushrooms, but only on the surrounding newspapers to ensure a moist environment.

3. Picking

When the cap of the enoki mushroom reaches about one centimeter and the height is about 10 centimeters, you can pick it and eat it.
