How to propagate Begonia

How to propagate Begonia

1. Division propagation

The propagation of crabapple by division is very simple. First, cut the sprouted tubers longitudinally from top to bottom, making sure that there are 1 to 2 buds on each piece. Then let the cut dry and then you can plant it in a pot. When planting, pay attention to maintaining a high ambient humidity and temperature.

2. Cutting propagation

Begonia cuttings can be carried out in all seasons, but spring and autumn are the best seasons. When taking cuttings, choose the strong top branches growing at the base. When taking cuttings, cut off the large leaves and insert them in the soil. Pay attention to maintaining humidity and place them in a shaded place. They will take root in about 15 to 20 days.

3. Seed propagation

Sowing should be carried out in spring or autumn when the temperature is mild. First, loosen the soil, spread the seeds evenly, flatten the soil, water the soil thoroughly, and place it in a warm environment. It will germinate in about 1 week.
