How to propagate roses by cuttings

How to propagate roses by cuttings

1. Choose buds

When taking rose cuttings, choosing buds is particularly important. If you are doing cuttings in spring, you should choose the stronger branches and buds that are two years old. If you are doing cuttings in summer, you should choose the tender branches and buds that are grown in the current year. If you are doing cuttings in winter, you should choose the stronger branches and buds that are grown in the current year. Cut the bottom of the branch into a wedge shape and remove all the leaves.

2. Processing buds

Dilute the rooting water and soak the selected and pruned branches and buds for about 12 hours for later use. This will promote rooting and increase the survival rate.

3. Insert the potato

Insert the soaked cuttings into the potatoes, just insert them directly.

4. Buried in the soil

After inserting the potatoes, bury them in the prepared soil, cover them with soil and compact the soil with your fingers, water them appropriately, then place them in a cool and ventilated place and wait for them to germinate and take root.
