How to cut off the yellow leaves of the green radish

How to cut off the yellow leaves of the green radish

1. How to prune

When you find that the leaves of the green radish have turned yellow, you should trim them in time, but do not cut them off directly. Cut them from the middle of the petiole. This method can prevent water loss. After being cut, it will grow new leaves. If the yellowing of the leaves is caused by root rot, you should cut off the rotten roots at the same time as the yellow leaves.

2. How to prevent leaves from turning yellow

1. Light: Although the green radish prefers sunlight, it cannot be exposed to direct sunlight, as strong sunlight will burn the leaves. It is best to place it in a well-lit place indoors. If it is grown outdoors, it must be shaded at noon when the sun is strong.

2. Water: Control the amount of watering for the green radish. Keep the soil moist and without excess water, and its leaves will not turn yellow. In summer, you need to spray it with water more often and wash the leaves with clean water, which is beneficial to the plant's photosynthesis. It needs less watering when it is dormant in winter. Once water accumulates, the roots will easily rot and the leaves will gradually turn yellow.

3. Temperature: It is best to control the temperature at 20-28℃. If the temperature is lower than 5℃ in winter, it will drop its leaves. When the temperature is relatively high in summer, we must do a good job of cooling down and open windows for ventilation appropriately. Yellow leaves are more likely to appear in a high temperature and stuffy environment.
