How to grow spider plants in summer

How to grow spider plants in summer

1. Sufficient water

Chlorophytum likes to grow in a humid environment. Water evaporates quickly in summer, so the humidity of its growth environment needs to be kept relatively high. The amount of watering must be sufficient, and water needs to be sprayed on the leaves of the plant to provide it with a moist growing environment. It is best to avoid watering at noon in summer, as the strong sunlight at this time may cause damage to the plants.

2. Proper shade

Chlorophytum is a plant that likes semi-shade. It should not be exposed to direct sunlight in the summer. It should be given sufficient scattered light. Try to avoid placing it on a south-facing windowsill or balcony. It can be placed in the living room or north-facing balcony for maintenance. When the light is strong, it needs appropriate shade, or be placed in a cool place for maintenance, otherwise the leaves will easily burn.

3. Adjust the temperature

The suitable temperature for the growth of spider plants is 15-25℃, and it can grow better in this growth environment. The temperature in summer is relatively high, and it will stop growing when the temperature is above 35℃, so cooling measures should be taken. Excessive temperatures can easily cause the leaves of the plant to turn yellow and have dry tips.
