Precautions for transplanting chrysanthemums

Precautions for transplanting chrysanthemums

1. Pot soil selection

When transplanting it, you should first pay attention to the potting soil. You should choose nutrient soil containing humus, loose and breathable. You can use six parts of humus soil, add three parts of sand and then mix in one part of decomposed cake fertilizer. This way, sufficient nutrients will be more conducive to acclimatization and later growth.

2. Watering and fertilizing

Chrysanthemums are different from other plants. They need to be watered and fertilized in time after transplanting. Phosphorus fertilizer can be chosen for fertilization. After application, add appropriate amount of water to keep it moist while diluting the fertilizer to restore it as soon as possible. In addition, when the soil is found to be dry, water it thoroughly. At this time, the plants are more prone to water shortage, but be careful not to allow water to accumulate to avoid root rot.

3. Temperature Problem

When transplanting chrysanthemums, you must pay attention to the temperature and avoid transplanting them under too much light, otherwise it will easily affect their growth and may even cause death. It is best to do it on a rainy day or in the evening. The temperature should be between 20 and 25 degrees, not too high or too low, so that the transplanting can be successful.

4. Prevention and control of pests and diseases

It is relatively weak after transplanting and is prone to various diseases and pests. For example, rust, gray mold and black spot, as well as longhorn beetles and aphids, will absorb nutrients and cause leaf deformation. Therefore, more ventilation is needed, and if pests are found, pesticides should be sprayed for timely prevention and control.
