How to grow hyacinth hydroponically

1. Breeding environment

1. Water: The water should be clean. Fill the glass bottle used for planting with water. Change the water every 3-4 days. You can put a small piece of charcoal in the water to prevent the water from becoming smelly.

2. Temperature: It likes coolness and avoids high temperature, so it can bloom normally at around 17℃. Note that during the growth process, the temperature cannot be lower than 0℃, and it is more appropriate to keep it at 10-17℃.

3. Light: It needs sufficient light to grow, and should receive no less than 4 hours of light a day. It should change direction every day to prevent lopsided growth, and be careful not to expose it to strong light.

2. Planting Method

1. Bulb treatment: Before planting, choose a disinfectant such as Bordeaux mixture and mix it into a 1:1000 solution. Peel off the outer skin of the bulbs after dividing, clean the mold spots inside, then soak the bulbs in disinfectant for half an hour, take them out and dry them.

2. Planting process: Choose a suitable glass bottle to fill with water so that the water surface is 2-5mm away from the root of the bulb. As the roots continue to grow, gradually lower the water level.

3. Rooting and germination: The most suitable rooting temperature is about 9°C. Place it in a cool and ventilated place for about 8-12 weeks in a warm environment. During the rooting period, cover it with cardboard or other materials to block out light. After rooting, remove it and place it in a lighted place to grow.
