1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: For growing English Crown Jade, you should use loose soil with good drainage and air permeability. You can use leaf mold, culture soil and coarse sand to prepare it.

2. Light: Give it sufficient light every day, it likes sunshine. If the light it receives is too weak or too short every day, it will affect its growth and development.

3. Temperature: The growth environment of Crown Jade should be 18-24℃. It is not cold-resistant, and it is best to keep the temperature above 5℃ in winter. It can withstand temperatures of 0°C in the short term, but if it is in a low temperature environment for a long time, it will be frozen.

2. Breeding Methods

1. Cutting propagation: Cutting propagation of English Crown Jade is generally carried out in spring and autumn. First, cut off the bulb next to the mother plant. After drying, plant the cuttings in the sand bed and roots will grow in about 25-30 days.

2. Seed propagation: Sowing should be carried out in April and May, and provide it with a germination environment of 20-24℃. The seeds will germinate 7-15 days after sowing.

3. Common pests and diseases

Crown Jade rarely suffers from diseases and insect pests, but sometimes it may suffer from root rot or spider mites. Once discovered, you should buy medicine and spray it in time. And burn the diseased branches and leaves as soon as possible.
