Cultivation method of Clivia

Cultivation method of Clivia

1. Potting soil

The flower pots used for cultivation should be breathable, and clay pots can be used. The substrate can be leaf mold, peat soil, or sawdust. No matter which kind of soil is used, it should be disinfected in advance and then placed in the pot and leveled. If conditions permit, it is best to disinfect the flower pots, especially those that have been used to grow other plants, which must be kept clean.

2. Seeds

Before starting cultivation, you need to put the seeds in warm water and soak them for about half an hour, not too long. After taking it out, it is best to soak it in 10% sodium phosphate solution for a while, about 20 minutes, then wash it and soak it in clean water for 10 to 15 hours.

3. Cultivation

When planting, the seeds should be planted at a certain distance, with the eyes of the seeds facing downwards and spaced a certain distance apart. After planting, cover it with flower soil and level it. Finally, spray it with some water, and the soil needs to be sprayed thoroughly for the first time.

4. Maintenance

Maintenance after cultivation is also very important. It should be placed in a well-ventilated location, and the temperature should also be adjusted to an appropriate range, preferably around 20-25℃. The air must also have a certain humidity, which can be 90%. If the climate is relatively dry, it will seriously affect its germination. If it is well cared for, it will sprout in about half a month.
