How to grow spider plants more vigorously

How to grow spider plants more vigorously

1. Proper water control

Chlorophytum comosum is different from other plant species. Its roots are very large, so it has a stronger ability to store water and is more resistant to drought. Therefore, just the right amount of water is enough for vigorous growth. Don't add too much, otherwise the roots will rot and the plant will not be able to grow vigorously.

2. Proper fertilization

If you want the plants to grow vigorously, the nutrients in the soil are sometimes not enough and you need to add some fertilizer. You can use organic fertilizers, such as bone meal, egg shells, etc. The frequency is about once a week to ten days. In this way, the plants not only grow vigorously, but also have shiny leaves.

3. Semi-shaded environment

Chlorophytum itself likes partial shade. If you want it to grow vigorously, it needs to be kept in partial shade and not exposed to direct sunlight that is too strong. The specific shading degree is approximately fifty to seventy percent. If you keep it at home, you can place it behind the curtains.

4. Change pots regularly

New soil is very important. Choose fertile and loose soil and mix in some base fertilizer to promote the growth of plants. In addition, the root system of the plant should be slightly pruned, and the aging and rotten roots should be cut off.

5. Regular pruning

Pruning is essential. If you find that the leaves of the plant are rotten or yellow, fry them in time. Old branches and branches infested with diseases and insects should also be pruned away. And after pruning, it is necessary to apply appropriate fertilizer so that the plant can grow more vigorously.

6. Sprinkle water appropriately

Watering is done on the leaves, especially when evaporation is high. Don't forget to do this, it will make the plant more vigorous, but don't do it too much.
