How to grow hyacinth

How to grow hyacinth

1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: It is best to choose sandy soil with good drainage. You can apply some base fertilizer to the soil before planting to help it grow better.

2. Temperature: The suitable temperature is around 25℃. Generally, spring is the most suitable temperature for breeding.

3. Watering: Keep sufficient moisture in the soil and the potting soil should not be too dry. It is best to water in the morning. When the temperature is high in summer, you can spray some water indoors or around to maintain the humidity in the air.

4. Light: Give it an appropriate amount of light. If the light time is long or too strong, the flowering period will be shortened; if the light is too weak, it will not grow normally and the leaves will turn yellow.

2. Breeding Methods

1. Seed propagation: Disinfect the soil and cover it with 1 cm thick soil after sowing. It will generally germinate in the next spring.

2. Propagation by dividing bulbs: Separate the daughter bulbs around the mother bulb and plant them. Apply wood ash on the cut to prevent rot. Place them in the sun for 1-2 hours, and then divide and plant them after autumn.

3. Common diseases

1. Yellow rot: The affected leaves will have yellow-brown spots, and the bulbs will begin to rot. The soil must be disinfected before planting, and unpolluted water must be used for hydroponics. After discovery, you can spray with a solution of carbendazim, once every 2-3 days.

2. Root nodule: It usually harms the roots, and small nodules will appear on the root system. Severe damage can lead to death. Disinfection and ventilation must be done before planting. Diseased plants must be cleaned up in time. Do not turn over the roots casually, otherwise the root system will be damaged and the incidence rate will increase.
