How to care for flowers in winter

How to care for flowers in winter

one. Rose

Authoritative industry statistics show that roses are one of the most widely distributed flowers in the world, and winter roses are also very common. Generally speaking, caring for roses is relatively simple and easy. First of all, when choosing, pay attention to the ones with relatively close-packed flower heads, similar to a cup shape, and with petals that are not dry. Gently pinch the bottom to feel firm and the color is full and fresh. Then look at the flower branches. Good flowers have thicker and longer branches, and the flowers will bloom longer. Finally, we look at the leaves. Choose leaves that are large in shape, bright in color, and dark green. The more complete the leaves are, the better the quality is and the longer they can last.

two. Carnation

Carnations are one of the most popular flowers among flower lovers and are also common in winter. First, we observe the appropriate liquid level in the container, remove the leaves that may be immersed in the water to an approximate depth, and then cut the flower feet. This is to cut off the protective seal formed on the flower branches, so that the flowers can absorb water smoothly again and ensure good ventilation between the flower branches. Properly picking off some leaves can, on the one hand, prevent the leaves from being soaked in water and rotting, which would lead to the production of a large amount of harmful substances; on the other hand, it can prevent the leaves from robbing the flowers of nutrients and water. In this way, the viewing period of the flowers can be extended accordingly.

three. lily

The first thing we do after getting the lilies is to spread out the branches appropriately so that they can breathe better. Then we gently cut off 3 to 5 cm from the base and put them in water. Also, remove the leaves that are below the liquid level. Then we can also use some preservatives. Lily has special preservatives. If it is convenient, we can also use some common ones, such as alcohol, aspirin, etc. It should be noted that only a few drops of each are needed. In this way, the viewing period of lilies can be extended to a week.
