1. Division propagationThis method is suitable for plants that are 2 to 3 years old. The specific operation is: first remove it from the pot, be careful not to hurt it, and remove the soil at the roots; then separate the plants by hand, into small plants, making sure that each plant has some roots; finally, replant the divided plants into the pots prepared in advance. After dividing the plants, water them thoroughly, then place them in a cool place for about a week and then you can take care of them normally. We can also apply some fertilizer to them after division, such as using horseshoe slices, etc., or we can directly add some pond mud to the bottom of the pot when preparing the potting soil. 2. Cutting propagationThis method can be done at any time of the year, but if the temperature is too low, it will not be easy for the plant to survive. This method requires a temperature between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. First of all, you need to select plants that are suitable for cuttings. The selected plants must be strong enough and have lush branches and leaves. After selecting the plant, use a clean knife to make a small cut on the branch you selected. Half a day later, apply a layer of sterilized fresh moss on the surface of the small cut, then place it in a humid environment and leave it for about 10 days. When you see a tumor-like nodule appearing at the cut, you can cut the branch off. All the branches on this branch can be cut off, leaving only two for cuttings. When doing cuttings, we can make a bag ourselves, fill it with moist soil, poke some small holes on the outside, then insert the branches about 2 cm, and wrap a cloth strip around the outside. Then put it in a large pot and fill it with soil. 3. Seed propagationWhen using this method, you first need to collect mature seeds. When the outer skin of the seed becomes soft and black, it means it is mature. After collecting the seeds, wash them carefully and dry them before storing them. Wait until April of the following year to sow. Before sowing, you need to prepare sandy soil. It is best to use a clay pot, but a wooden pot is also acceptable. When planting, poke a planting hole every 3 cm and place 3 seeds in each hole. Then spread a thin layer of soil on top, usually 5 cm is enough. After planting, water thoroughly and cover with plastic wrap to keep it moist. The temperature should be around 25 degrees Celsius. |
