1. Reproduction method

1. Division

It is best to move the entire seedling out in early spring after new buds grow out, clean the soil, and cut the roots into several parts from the bottom. It is best to have two buds on each part.

Apply wood ash on the cut surface to prevent it from rotting easily. Let it dry before planting. Use loose soil with good drainage, and don't water too much. It will take about ten days to maintain normally. Fertilizer can be made from rotten leaves and charcoal ash.

2. Cuttings

If you choose this method, it is best to do it in July and August when the temperature is very high. Cut seven to ten centimeters from the top of the stem. If there are many leaves, remove some of them so that the evaporation of water will slow down. The cut can be wrapped with sulfur powder. The air humidity should be kept at a high level. Place it in a semi-shaded area with a temperature of 24 to 30 degrees Celsius. New roots will sprout in about 15 to 25 days, and after new buds grow, you can transplant it into a flowerpot.

2. Precautions

1. It likes warm, watery and shady areas. It grows faster in summer. It should be placed in a shaded place without strong light, otherwise the leaves will be damaged. In early spring, place it outdoors in a sheltered area.

2. Control the moisture, don’t let it be too dry or too wet. When it is hot, water the leaves and surrounding areas once in the morning and once in the evening. Keep it indoors when it's cold, and don't let the temperature drop below 12 degrees, otherwise it will freeze to death. You can often use paper towels to gently wipe the dust off the leaves, or wash them with water. Watering in spring and autumn should be done before noon. It is recommended not to spray after the afternoon. The water sprayed should cover the leaves but not drip.

3. If the leaves are eroded by insects or fungi, there will be wounds. At this time, you cannot leave it in the rain or spray it with too much water. If you spray it in the afternoon or at night, its symptoms will be more serious. Spray medicine for treatment in time.
