How to fertilize cherry blossoms

How to fertilize cherry blossoms

1. Base fertilizer

Many people tend to overlook the influence of basal fertilizer. In fact, basal fertilizer plays an important role in the growth of cherry blossoms and affects the basic growth of cherry blossoms. Generally, base fertilizer is applied around October, which can be combined with irrigation. Doing so will not only reduce fertilizer damage, but also speed up the decomposition of nutrients to varying degrees, allowing the plants to absorb them faster. Not only that, it can also affect the quality of the flower soil, making it better.

Regarding the choice of flower fertilizer, if conditions permit, using natural organic fertilizer is more beneficial for the plants! But please be careful, when using this kind of flower fertilizer, please make sure it is fermented and fully decomposed before use, and then use it, which can ensure that it will not cause root burn. In addition, you can stir in an appropriate amount of calcium phosphate during the fermentation process, which can promote the growth of flowers and leaves of the plant better!

2. Topdressing

The peak period for cherry blossoms' demand for fertilizer nutrients is roughly from March to July. During this period, all aspects of the plant's growth gradually reach their peak, and the demand is naturally large. If nutrients cannot be replenished in time, it will naturally affect the health and growth of the plant.

1. Topdressing during flowering period

Fertilizer to choose: You can choose organic fertilizer or supplement with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The most convenient way is to choose compound fertilizer rich in these three elements. Isn’t it much more convenient?

2. Topdressing after flowering

During the flowering period, you may choose not to apply top dressing if the nutrition is sufficient, but if it is during this period after flowering, top dressing must be applied. When applying fertilizer at this time, you can choose decomposed fertilizer cakes and organic fertilizers. Fertilizer supply is essential at this stage, so be sure to keep it in mind.

3. Topdressing during spore differentiation

What is most needed at this time is quick-acting fertilizer. You can choose urea or some compound fertilizers. In addition, you can actually apply foliar fertilizer appropriately at this stage.

4. Fertilize before leaf fall

In fact, you can apply fertilizer at this time, but many flower lovers underestimate this. However, the timing needs to be more precise, and it is best to do it a week before the plant is about to shed its leaves. Just apply urea fertilizer.
