How to grow goldenrod in winter

How to grow goldenrod in winter

1. Growth environment

Goldenrod cannot survive for a long time in an environment with too low temperature! So one thing everyone must pay attention to is that if the temperature of the environment in which the flowers grow is too low, it will easily cause the leaves to fall off, and over time it will also cause root rot! In the worst cases, the flowers may wilt or even die. Therefore, if you want to grow golden bud flowers in the cold north, if you want them to continue blooming in the cold winter, you need to place the flowers in a warm room and be careful not to let the temperature drop too low, otherwise they will not survive! The room temperature should be kept above 18 degrees Celsius during the day and above 10 degrees Celsius at night. At the same time, watering with appropriate fertilizer and water can ensure that the flowers can safely overwinter.

2. Disease prevention and control

The main diseases and insects that harm golden bud flowers include leaf spot, anthracnose, powdery mildew, red spiders, rust mites, aphids, scale insects and other pests, so it is necessary to spray a mixture of 1000 times of Lorsban and 800 times of methyl thiophanate on the surface of the plant once a month, so that the pests mentioned above can be effectively prevented and controlled, and the healthy growth of golden bud flowers can be guaranteed at the same time; in addition, a disease that flower lovers need to pay attention to is sooty mold disease, which generally occurs on the leaves. The main manifestation is the formation of a black mold on the leaf surface, until the entire leaf surface and tender shoots are covered with a layer of "sinful" black mold, making the originally gorgeous and fresh flowers "unrecognizable". The prevention and control method of this disease is still very simple: first of all, the planting area of flowers should not be too dense, and they should be properly pruned during their growth. Attention must be paid to ventilation and light transmission, so flower lovers can solve this common disease by themselves;
