We must pay attention to reasonable pruning, spraying foliar fertilizer , preventing and controlling pests and diseases, and draining water and preventing drought." On August 30, Hunan Huinong Technology Co., Ltd. ( ) Wang Dixuan, specially appointed expert lecturer and Yiyang City Science and Technology Special Commissioner, conducted field teaching at the cotton base in the 925 Community of Nijiangkou Town, Heshan District (Figures 1 and 2). This is also a scene of the weekly Friday learning system jointly organized by the Heshan District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau and the Heshan District Science and Technology Expert Service Team.

Heshan District is a major cotton-producing county with strict control over the area. This year, it planted more than 7,180 acres of cotton. By selecting appropriate cotton varieties, strengthening scientific and technological support, strengthening the construction of standardized cotton production bases, increasing demonstration and guidance, and strengthening technological integration and innovation, it achieved the overall goal of "two stabilizations and two increases" in cotton production (stabilizing area and yield, stabilizing cotton farmers' income, and increasing yield per unit area and quality), and promoted the high-quality development of the cotton industry. The average yield of lint cotton per mu is expected to be around 210 kilograms.

In terms of guarantee measures, in addition to strengthening organizational leadership and financial support, special attention is paid to strengthening technical training and technical guidance, such as by creating field schools to solve practical production problems face-to-face. New technologies were disseminated, green pest control technologies were integrated and applied, the use of pesticides was reduced, and the use of organic fertilizer + quicklime to improve the soil was vigorously promoted, ensuring the high quality and efficiency of cotton production in the entire region.
