How to fertilize the pink palm

How to fertilize the pink palm

Fertilization methods

Reasonable fertilization can effectively promote the growth of pink palm. As for the choice of fertilizer, both compound fertilizer and liquid fertilizer can be used. It is worth mentioning that the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in compound fertilizer must be strictly controlled to 1:1:1. The best time to fertilize is early morning or evening, and the frequency can be controlled to once a week, such as 7 to 12 days. If you choose liquid fertilizer, apply it every three days. It should be noted that only one of the two fertilization methods can be used, not both at the same time.

Soil and Fertilization

Pink Anthurium is relatively fond of fertilizer. The soil for potted pink Anthurium should be fertile, loose, and have good air permeability and water permeability. It would be better if the soil contained some nutrients necessary for the growth of pink palm. The soil under the tree containing leaf mold is a good choice. In addition, before adding soil to the pot, laying a layer of broken bricks and tiles on the basin can effectively improve drainage.

Temperature and fertilization

I believe everyone knows that when the temperature drops to a certain level, the plant will stop some physiological activities, and fertilizer must not be applied at this time. The optimal growth temperature range for pink palm is between 19 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius. Therefore, in northern my country, we should prevent the surrounding temperature from being too high in summer, prevent unnecessary frostbite in winter, and stop fertilizing when necessary.

Water and fertilizer management

Pink Anthurium is particularly afraid of dryness, so it is best to water it once every two days. However, do not water too much at one time, as accumulated water in the pot may cause the roots of the anthurium to rot. As the saying goes, fertilizer and water are inseparable. When watering, adding one or two drops of liquid fertilizer can better promote plant growth!

Precautions for fertilization

The editor would like to remind everyone here that the more fertilizer you apply, the better. Reasonable control of fertilizer concentration can make the pink palm grow better and absorb nutrients!
