How to fertilize potted plum blossoms?

How to fertilize potted plum blossoms?

Time and method:

January is the time when plum blossoms are in bud and about to bloom. At this time, additional fertilizer should be applied. Quick-acting fertilizer can be used, which is very beneficial for the flowering of plum blossoms. However, you must pay attention to the concentration. If it is too concentrated, the plants will suffer from fertilizer damage. After fertilizing, water it thoroughly once in the morning of the second day.

After flowering, you can use some organic fertilizers with slower effects, such as poultry manure, bone meal, and cake fertilizer.

Additional fertilizer should be applied once in April. Fertilizing at this time can effectively make the plum blossoms sprout new buds and branches.

For newly planted plum blossoms, you can apply enough base fertilizer first, and then the next fertilization should be done when the new branches grow to more than 5 cm. In order to make the branches grow stronger, you can apply thin cake fertilizer water, just once; after the flowers wither, the leaves will slowly unfold. At this time, there must be sufficient fertilizer to supply its growth, about once every 25 to 35 days, and thin liquid fertilizer can be used; when the branches of the plum blossoms grow to 20 cm long, you should gradually reduce fertilization.

Notes on fertilizing potted plum blossoms:

Stop fertilizing during the dog days of summer, and don't fertilize when the flowers are in bloom.

If you apply liquid fertilizer, you must combine it with watering and do not make the soil in the pot too moist. If it is solid fertilizer, you must water it in time after fertilizing so that the fertilizer can be better absorbed by the plants.

The above are all the methods of using this plant fertilizer. If you are interested, you can study it carefully.
