How to fertilize carnations?

Soil preparation:

Carnations are suitable for growing in soil that contains more nutrients and water suitable for plant growth. The best soil preparation is: 0.5 parts of river sand + 0.5 parts of wood ash + 2 parts of perlite + 2 parts of garden soil + 5 parts of leaf mold.

Fertilization method before planting:

Before planting plants, you can put 20 grams of decomposed vegetable leaf residue + 10 grams of compound fertilizer + 10 grams of decomposed cake fertilizer at the bottom of the soil as base fertilizer.

Fertilization methods in other periods:

1. Growth period: Spring is its growth period. Fertilization should be carried out every 10 days. Bone meal, liquid fertilizer and urea should be used alternately and not in excess.

2. Dormant period: In the hot summer, it will also enter a dormant period. At this time, fertilization should be stopped, but the soil should be kept warm and humid to avoid high temperature and exposure. However, if you feel that the whole plant is too dwarfed and the color of the leaves is lighter, you can fertilize the surface of the leaves once every seven days or so, and do it 2 to 3 times in a row. Use urea as the fertilizer, and this symptom will be significantly improved.

3. When pinching: Apply a small amount of fertilizer when pinching for the first time of the year. When pinching for the second time, bury 10 grams of compound fertilizer + 10 grams of hot cake fertilizer into the soil.

4. When the plant is in the bud stage, fertilize it with potassium dihydrogen phosphate and cake fertilizer liquid every week, and apply fertilizer 2 to 3 times in a row.

5. It is best not to fertilize when the flowers are blooming.
