How to water jade tree best

How to water jade tree best

Watering method

Jade plants prefer drier soil, so don't overwater them. Especially in summer, jade plants will enter a dormant state, and the frequency and amount of watering must be strictly controlled.

Watering principles

Water when the soil is dry and wet when the soil is wet. This means that if the upper layer of the soil where the jade tree is planted is already dry, you can water it, and water it thoroughly at one time; if it is not dry, do not water it.

Watering cycle

During the growth period of the jade tree, water it every 2 to 3 days;

In summer, watering should be done according to the dryness and wetness of the soil, and there is no fixed cycle.

Precautions

The soil where jade trees are planted must not be kept moist for a long time, and water accumulation should be avoided as much as possible, otherwise the roots of the jade trees will rot and die.

In summer, the ventilation of the environment must be ensured, otherwise the water poured in will not evaporate easily, which will cause a large area of jade tree leaves to fall off.

When autumn comes, gradually reduce watering according to weather changes.

In winter, you must water less, but it does not mean you should not water at all. You can water once when the soil is dry.

If you plant jade trees outdoors, you must take effective drainage measures for them.

For all plant watering issues, you must first have a general understanding of the plant's living characteristics. The same is true for jade plants. After understanding the general characteristics, you will find that watering is no longer a problem for you.
