Aloe Vera

1. Rinse the roots

Usually, aloe vera is thrown away because its roots are rotten, so after you pick it up and bring it home, be sure to rinse the roots clean.

2. Remove the rotten part

Cut off all the rotten parts of the roots, then soak them in water mixed with carbendazim for disinfection.

3. Prepare the soil

Aloe vera is not picky about soil, and ordinary garden soil can be used. However, it would be better if you prepare nutrient soil~

4. Repot

Put the processed aloe vera back into the pot, water it thoroughly, place it in a well-lit and ventilated place and wait for it to take root.

Generally, it will take a week to take root, and about half a month to continue growing.

Clivia

1. Clivia is thrown away mostly because its leaves have turned yellow or its roots have rotted.

So after picking it up, first remove the Clivia from the pot, rinse the roots clean, check the root rot, then cut off all the rotten parts, and also pick off all the yellow and rotten leaves, don't leave any.

2. After pruning, soak the Clivia directly in carbendazim or potassium permanganate solution for about 20 minutes for comprehensive disinfection.

3. Then take it out and place it in a cool and ventilated place to dry. Pay attention to check the center of the leaf. If there is solution in the center of the leaf, be sure to absorb the water with a paper towel. Otherwise it's easy to get mad.

4. Expose the sphagnum moss in the sun for 1 to 2 days to kill the bacteria. Then soak the sphagnum moss with water, wrap the roots of the Clivia, and place it in the flowerpot. If there is no sphagnum moss, you can also use river sand or sawdust.

5. Place the Clivia in a cool and ventilated place for maintenance. Be careful to keep the sphagnum moss moist. First put your finger into the sphagnum moss to test. If it is dry, water it.

Gardenia

1. Pruning

Gardenia is relatively difficult to grow in the north, and many people will grow it until it dries up and then throw it away.

After picking it up, first cut off all the dry branches, leaves, etc. of the gardenia. For example, in the picture below, cut it off from the red line.

2. Root pruning

After cutting off the dry leaves, remove the gardenia from the pot, clean the roots, and check whether there are any rotten or blackened roots. If so, trim them all off!

3. Disinfection

Put the wound of the gardenia root system into potassium permanganate solution for disinfection, and then place it in a cool place to dry. It will take about 1 to 2 days to dry.

4. Repot

Put the processed gardenia into the pot, water it thoroughly, and then place it in a place with scattered light and good ventilation.

The soil should always be kept moist, but not waterlogged. You should also spray water on the ground near the gardenia to increase the air humidity.

5. Sprout

In about a month, the gardenia will grow leaf buds again. After the leaf buds grow into leaves, they can be cared for normally.

orchid

1. Root pruning

Check the orchids you picked up. If there are empty roots, rotten roots, black roots, dry roots, dead roots, etc., in short, they are abnormal root systems and should be cut off completely without leaving any.

2. Disinfection

Place the root wound of the orchid into the thiophanate-methyl solution and soak it for about 15 minutes.

3. Sphagnum moss roots

Soak the sphagnum moss and wrap the roots of the orchid with it.

4. Maintenance

Put the wrapped orchid sphagnum moss into the flowerpot, and then keep the sphagnum moss moist, watering it about once a week, as sphagnum moss is more moisturizing.

5. Rooting

Just wait quietly for half a month to a month and the orchid will be able to re-root. At this time, you can choose to continue growing flowers on sphagnum moss, or you can change the pot~
