Soil disinfection methods

Soil high temperature exposure method

When the weather is clear, spread the soil and expose it to the sun for three to five days. The sunlight disinfection method is simple and easy, and has good results. It can not only effectively eliminate virus spores, hyphae and pest eggs that are parasitic in the soil. It can also drive out the adult insects inside, which is beneficial to the growth of plants.

Soil Stir-frying Disinfection Method

Put the culture soil into an iron pan and fry it over fire. After the soil particles become dry, continue to cook for 30 minutes. This method can completely eliminate the microorganisms in the soil and burn the organic matter in the soil into ash, making the soil more breathable and water-permeable, which is conducive to cuttings and sowing.

Soil ash water disinfection method

Use ten kilograms of wood ash, put it into fifty kilograms of water, and soak it for twenty-four hours. After taking it out, filter it and spray it on the soil. It can effectively prevent and control underground pests such as cutworms and maggots. This method can not only eliminate insects but also increase potassium in the soil.

Soil burning disinfection method

Before tilling the soil, spread dry firewood on the soil surface and light it. This method can not only kill germs, pests, etc. in the soil in seconds. The ashes from the burnt fertilizer can also add potassium fertilizer to the soil.
