Mint seed germination methodtoolMint seeds, tissues, plastic bottles, plates. Germination conditionsTo germinate mint seeds, the first thing to do is to ensure the temperature. Generally, the temperature should be between 25℃ and 30℃ for germination. The second thing is to keep it moist, but one thing to note is that there can’t be too much water. Method of germinating mint seedsPrepare cold boiled water with a temperature of about 40℃, pour in the mint seeds and soak for about 5 hours. Note: Just let the water cool down naturally. Take out the soaked mint seeds, cut the plastic bottle open, usually starting from the middle, and split it in half, keeping the cylindrical end, with a height of about 5cm. Place a cylindrical plastic bottle on a plate, upright, and put a layer of facial tissue on top, with the tissue hanging down onto the plate. Place the mint seeds on top of the tissue paper and cover with another layer of tissue paper. Pour water over the plate so that the water can be absorbed by the tissue paper, keeping it moist but not too wet. Basically, after germination, you can start sowing. Because mint seeds are relatively small, you can sow them by broadcasting, which is a very simple method. However, attention should be paid to the survival rate. |
