Preparation before sea buckthorn seedling cultivationSelecting a nursery siteFirst, we need to choose a suitable piece of land for sowing. Although sea buckthorn is not very demanding on the soil, it does not like overly sticky soil. If there is no suitable land, you can also use seedling boxes for sowing. Seedbed preparationThis is to make the soil structure and surface condition good, improve the fertility of the sowing soil, and provide good conditions for the growth of sowing plants and your land management. Don't ignore it! FertilizationFertilization should be carried out in the spring of the second year. Well-rotted farmyard manure, pond mud, and diammonium phosphate are the favorites of sea buckthorn seeds. It can be applied at a depth of about 10 cm. But be careful to mix the fertilizer and soil evenly to avoid burning the roots and affecting the emergence of sea buckthorn seedlings. Seabuckthorn seedling cultivation methodSeed selectionBefore sowing, you must carefully select the seeds and make sure they are fresh and free of pests and diseases. Planting seasonSea buckthorn can be sown in spring, summer or autumn, but spring is the best time. Seed germinationWhen germinating, first disinfect with 0.5% potassium permanganate aqueous solution for two hours, and then germinate. Put the processed seeds into sacks and place them in a sunny place sheltered from the wind. Turn them over two or three times a day and wash them with cold water once. Maintain a certain temperature. When 30% to 40% of the seeds crack, they can be sown. Sowing methodIn order to facilitate the healthy growth of seedlings and your management, sea buckthorn should be sown with a large row spacing and a wider sowing width, with a row spacing of about 23CM and a sowing width of about 13CM. Of course, if you are sowing in a seedling box, you can skip this step. The bottom of the ditch can be flatter, and the seeds can be evenly spread in the sowing width, covered with about 2.3 cm of fine sand, and then pressed to allow more contact between the seeds and the soil. It is best to cover the soil with a layer of grass or film after sowing. When all the seedlings have emerged from the soil, they can be removed in stages to prevent the tender seedlings from being burned by the sun. After sowing in spring, remember to spray water frequently to keep it moist. After doing all this, you can just wait for the sea buckthorn to sprout! |
