Making flower fertilizer from banana peel

Although the leftover banana peels become waste, it is still a good idea to use them as flower fertilizer because the banana peels contain a relatively high content of potassium fertilizer and after fermentation, they can become very good flower fertilizer.

Banana peels are relatively easy to rot and can be easily absorbed by the soil. When making fertilizer, you can bury it in the soil and it can be used after a period of time.

Retting process

The first step is to prepare banana peels, just the right amount.

The second step is to use scissors or a knife to cut the prepared banana peel into small pieces, which are easier to decompose.

The third step is to find a larger bucket, such as a trash can. Start preparing compost. First put soil in the bucket, 10cm thick, then put chopped banana peels on top of the soil, cover with another layer of soil, and then put another layer of chopped banana peels. After putting everything on, cover with another layer of soil, making sure to seal it well.

The soil made from fermented banana peels is generally humus, which can be used directly as soil for planting flowers, or it can be used as flower fertilizer or topdressing.

In fact, not only banana peels, but also other fruit peels, kitchen waste and leaves can be made into fertilizer in this way.
