Disease and Pest Control of Sambucus

Disease and Pest Control of Sambucus

1. Specific diseases

Because many people had only seen comfrey growing in the wild before, they had never paid close attention to it. Since a large area of comfrey was planted in Jiangxi, people began to study the insect pests that comfrey suffers.

According to research, we learned that the roots of elderberry are constantly decaying, and the specific pathogen that causes the decay is Fusarium. Fusarium is a fungus that is both parasitic and saprophytic and can cause decay in many parts of a variety of plants. Generally speaking, root rot is actually caused by three factors. The first is the plant itself, the second is the pathogen, and the third is the environmental conditions. Because the factors are very complicated, it is quite difficult to treat.

2. Treatment methods

Because the diseases and insect pests of comfrey are caused by several factors, if we want to treat it, we must target the causes and develop scientific countermeasures in order to effectively prevent and control this disease.

In fact, we have several ways to solve the problem of comfrey. One is to use plants for prevention and control, because some plants contain certain specific substances that can inhibit the production of pathogens. Then we can also produce pesticides made from microorganisms to inhibit this fungus.

In addition, we can also use some chemical pesticides to treat this disease. Generally, we use carbendazim and dichlorvos. In addition, there are several other pesticides that can play a very good role in this regard, such as mancozeb and thiophanate-methyl.
