What to do if aloe leaves turn red

Redness of aloe leaves is a common phenomenon. Redness means that there is a problem with the growth of aloe vera. As long as the problem is accurately identified and dealt with accordingly, the red leaves can turn green.

When the leaves of aloe vera turn red, you should first check whether the roots are rotten. Once the roots are rotten, the leaves will turn red. If the roots are intact, you can refer to the following five situations and deal with them accordingly:

First, the light is too strong. Aloe vera is a light-loving green plant, but too strong light can harm it. To solve this problem, the aloe vera should be moved to a properly shaded area and not exposed to direct sunlight for a long time.

second, Too dry. If you don't water the aloe vera plant regularly in the summer, its leaves will slowly turn red. At this time, just water the aloe vera once to make it wet, and you will need to water it regularly in the future.

third, Overwatering. Overwatering can easily lead to root rot, which can cause the aloe leaves to turn red. At this time, just pull out the aloe vera, cut off the rotten roots, place it in a cool place to dry slightly and then replant it.

fourth, Suffering from cold in winter. The temperature in winter is too low, which can easily freeze the aloe vera and cause its leaves to turn red. Therefore, aloe vera should be placed in a light-transmitting place during the day in winter and placed indoors at night.

Fifth, the flowerpot is too small. Aloe vera has a well-developed root system. If the pot used to grow aloe vera is too small, the roots will become overly entangled, causing the leaves to turn red. When this happens, just move the aloe vera into a larger pot in spring and autumn.
