How to water Monstera

Summer watering

Monstera prefers a relatively humid environment and needs sufficient water during its growth period. Summer is the time when Monstera grows most vigorously, so Monstera needs a lot of water in summer. In summer, we need to water Monstera more than usual. In summer, you should water the Monstera in the morning and evening. If the weather is hot and very dry in summer, you can spray water around the Monstera or wipe its leaves with water. This can not only maintain humidity, but also make the leaves of the Monstera green and bright.

Winter Watering

In winter, plants generally enter a dormant period, grow slowly, and require less water, so in winter you only need to water the Monstera once every two or three days. In order to keep the leaves of Monstera deliciosa fresh and clean, we can wipe the leaves of Monstera deliciosa with water close to room temperature every seven to ten days, which will also make the ornamental value of Monstera deliciosa higher.

Daily watering

Except for special seasons, we don’t have to pay too much attention when watering Monstera, because Monstera prefers warm and humid environment and has average water requirements. So under normal circumstances, when there is no excessively cold or hot weather, we only need to water Monstera once a day. There is no need to water Monstera too frequently, as this can easily cause root rot. When watering Monstera, it is best to place the water in a normal temperature environment. Watering Monstera with water that is close to normal temperature is more conducive to its growth.
