What kind of soil is best for the fortune tree?

What kind of soil is best for the fortune tree?

1. Requirements for soil

(1) First of all, it needs to be loose, which is related to breathability. If the soil is not loose, the root breathing of the plant will be hindered, and the transportation of water and nutrients will be problematic, and the growth will be weak.

(2) Secondly, it must be fertile. Adequate nutrient supply can ensure vigorous growth of the plants and also reduce the trouble of fertilizing.

(3) It also needs to have good water permeability. In this way, after each watering, the water can penetrate into the lower part of the soil more fully, allowing the plant to absorb sufficient water without causing the roots to rot.

(4) Acidic soil is also required, which is determined by the characteristics of the plant. Plants do not grow well in alkaline soil.

2. What soil to use

(1) The simplest way is to use the nutrient soil bought directly from the store. It is rich in nutrients and has good air permeability and water permeability, so the overall effect is good. However, some friends do not want to use this kind of soil. If the conditions are met, the soil you prepare yourself will naturally be better.

(2) There are many ways to prepare it yourself. A slightly simpler method: mix garden soil, leaf mold and coarse sand evenly, with each accounting for one third. There is also a more troublesome method: use six parts of garden soil, two parts of manure as base fertilizer, two parts of coarse sand, and one part of peanut cake.

3. Notes

No matter what soil you choose, it is best to disinfect it before use.
