How to water the peace lily

How to water the peace lily

in principle

The peace lily needs a moist potting soil environment. Basically, the soil should be kept moist, but water cannot accumulate. The air humidity should also be maintained at a high level, generally above 80%. If the weather is dry, you can also spray water at the right time.

When watering the peace lily, you need to follow the principle of watering thoroughly.

How to water the peace tree

When watering the peace thyme tree, the soil needs to be kept moist. The frequency of watering can vary according to the changes of seasons. Basically, watering can be done when the surface of the soil is completely dry.

During the growing period, you can water it once a week to keep it moist, but not waterlogged. When watering, you can water it once, and then water it again after about half an hour, so as to prevent half of the water from appearing.

The weather is relatively dry in summer, so you need to increase watering appropriately. You can also sprinkle water on the leaves and around the peace thyme to increase the humidity of the air.

After autumn, the temperature gradually drops and watering can be reduced appropriately. The same is true in winter, but because winter is relatively dry, it is okay to spray more water.

Precautions

When there is water accumulation in the soil, the leaves of the peace lily will turn yellow and fall off. In severe cases, it may cause root rot, so special attention must be paid when watering.

The peace lily not only needs watering, but also needs frequent fertilization. It is best to combine fertilization with watering. Apply fertilizer first and then water, which can also avoid fertilizer damage.
