Preparing tools

Materials needed for the tutorial on using cans to make flower pots: cans, scissors, paintbrushes, acrylic paint, gloves, draft paper, pencils, ropes, soil, and small plants.

How to operate

1. Prepare two beer cans and a small plant (aloe vera).

2. Cut an oval out of scratch paper and use it as a template to cut a window on the side of the can.

3. As shown in the picture, use scissors to trim along the window on the surface of the can, and fold the cut part inward, so you don't have to worry about getting your hand caught. Wash the cut discarded cans again, let them dry and then paint them with a white base coat.

4. Then, use other colors to draw your favorite patterns. Simple polka dots or lines are actually pretty good.

6. Put soil and plant aloe vera in the small can flowerpot.

7. Hang a rope on the pull ring of the can and hang this DIY flower pot in any sunny place.
