How to plant camellia

How to plant camellia

Step by step guide

1. Newly bought camellia seedlings;

2. In order to reduce unnecessary nutrient loss, buds should be thinned out in time and diseased leaves and weak branches should be removed;

3. A good horse needs a good saddle, and finding a beautiful flower pot is also crucial;

4. After taking off the nutrient bag, we will find that the soil ball has formed a smooth surface due to collision during transportation or moving. This not only hinders soil aeration but also hinders the growth of new roots.

5. The solution is to first put the entire soil ball in water to soften it;

6. Use a sprayer to disperse the surface of the softened soil ball;

7. Just leave the white roots exposed and let them sit for a while to dry out the moisture.

8. Use this time to prepare planting materials. Use red soil + river sand (1:1 ratio). Red soil is slightly acidic, which is good for root growth. Adding river sand makes the planting material more breathable.

9. Add some peat soil to make it more water-repellent and breathable;

10. Mix together;

11. Place two tiles crosswise on the basin hole;

12. First lay a layer of granular planting material;

13. Put the plant in the pot and adjust the planting height;

14. When the planting material is filled to 80%;

15. Adjust the position of the plants and add planting materials;

16. Continue to add planting material to the pot mouth and press tightly around it;

17. Hang a nameplate. You can use a Coke can to carve the name with a knife. It is a bit unsightly, but it can be used for a long time.

18. Find a cool place without direct sunlight to place the flowers, and then water them to establish their roots.

Be sure to water thoroughly (you can wait two hours before watering again);

19. Check the water permeability of the planting material, it’s pretty good^ ^.

20. After the water on the leaves has dried, spray pesticides for sterilization.
