What to do if the leaves of yew turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of yew turn yellow

1. Be careful with water spray

(1) Specific reason: In order to keep the leaves clean and increase humidity, it is often necessary to spray some water on the leaves. However, if you are not careful and allow water droplets to remain on the leaves (especially at night), its leaves may turn yellow.

(2) Solution: Generally, water is sprayed in the afternoon, about two hours before dark. When spraying a lot of water, it should be noted that the standard is that water droplets can be seen on the surface of the leaves but should not drip. This way, the water droplets will evaporate at night and will not cause any harm. In addition, ventilation is also important, which can accelerate the evaporation of water.

2. Use root enhancer

(1) Specific reason: When the plant is just transplanted, the root system is relatively fragile. If the roots are damaged, the supply of water and nutrients will be affected and the leaves may turn yellow.

(2) Solution: If the symptoms are severe, you can use some root growth agents. At the same time, control the amount of watering to promote faster root growth.

3. Change the pot in time

(1) Specific reason: After about half a year, the nutrients in the soil are no longer sufficient. If you don't change the pot at this time, lack of nutrients can easily cause the leaves to turn yellow.

(2) Solution: Change the pot promptly and choose soil rich in nutrients.

4. Strictly control the amount of watering

(1) Specific reason: There is too much water in the pot, and the leaves easily turn yellow and fall off.

(2) Solution: Water the plant when the leaves begin to curl and the soil becomes loose, and water thoroughly.
