How to save mango seeds

Mangoes have seeds, which are the hard cores that grow inside the mango when it matures.

Mango seeds can be germinated, and you can keep the seeds of the mango yourself. Remove the hard shell on the outside. If it is too slippery and difficult to open, put it in the sun for a few days until the outside is dry. It will be easier to remove the shell at this time. You can keep a few more seeds because the survival rate cannot be guaranteed.

When the mango is ripe, you can cut it open and slowly remove the impurities in the shell. There is a thin film on the seeds in the hard shell. Remove them, being careful not to hurt your hands and not to break the seeds.

Mango seed preservation

Mango seeds need to be stored and preserved in a dry and ventilated place, so that they can be preserved for a long time, and the survival rate is also very high if planted the following year.

Mango Seed Planting

Mango seeds are suitable for sowing in spring and can also be sown in autumn. The best time for sowing in spring is March-April, and the best time for sowing in autumn is September-October. If sown during these two periods, they will germinate quickly.

Soak the mango seeds in water to grow sprouts. Change the water regularly every day. Then plant the mango seeds with sprouts in loose, fertile soil. Do not bury the seeds too deep, otherwise it will be detrimental to their growth. Cover them with a thin layer of soil.

Mango needs sufficient light and is best placed on a balcony. The growth of mango not only requires temperature, but also depends on the nourishment of water. The soil needs to be kept moist. Once it survives, it needs a lot of nutrients and needs to be fertilized frequently with thin layers of fertilizer.
