The secret to making plum blossoms bloom all year round

The secret to making plum blossoms bloom all year round

Open on May 1st

Late-blooming varieties, such as Huqiu Late Pink, Songchun, Fenghou, etc., should be refrigerated in a cold storage room at 0~1℃ between January and February at the beginning of the year. They should be taken out in mid-April and placed under a shade shed. Strengthen fertilizer and water management so that they can bloom as scheduled on May Day.

Open on National Day

Choose varieties that have bloomed and are easy to form flower buds, such as White Beard Cinnabar, Green Calyx, and Light Fenghou. Add base fertilizer when changing the soil in January and February. After the new shoots sprout, apply cake fertilizer 1 to 2 times a week to promote rapid growth of new shoots. In mid-to-late April, when new shoots grow to more than 20 cm, pinch them off and control watering appropriately to inhibit the second lateral branch sprouting in order to accumulate nutrients. 15 to 20 days after the new shoots stop growing, flower buds begin to differentiate. The first stage is physiological differentiation. 50~60 days, at this time, watering should be properly controlled. The second stage is morphological differentiation, which lasts 40 to 50 days. At this time, fertilizer and water management should be strengthened.
Pick the leaves in late August and place in a cool and shady place, control watering, make the soil in the pot dry, and force it to dormant for a short period of time; place it in the sun in late September, strengthen fertilizer and water management, and it will bloom on National Day.

Blooming on New Year's Day

You should choose early flowering varieties, such as Pink Palace Pink, Pink Cinnabar, etc. Put it in the greenhouse in early December. Keep the temperature between 10 and 20 degrees Celsius, strengthen fertilizer and water management, and it will bloom on New Year's Day.
