All">

1. Soil selection

The money tree is suitable for growing in loose, fertile, well-drained soil. The soil for home potted plants is a mixture of 1 part peat soil, 1 part garden soil, and 1 part river sand, and the base fertilizer is cake fertilizer.

2. Lighting requirements

Money trees prefer diffuse light and should avoid prolonged direct exposure to the sun. When growing indoors, it is best placed in a location that is bright but not in direct sunlight.

3. Temperature control

The suitable growth temperature for the money tree is 20 to 30℃. In winter, the temperature is below 5℃, so it needs to be heated. In summer, it should be placed in a semi-shaded environment.

4. Watering tips

Watering should follow the principle of "don't water unless the soil is dry, and water thoroughly when you do." Water 2-3 times a week in spring and autumn, increase the frequency of watering in summer according to the temperature, and reduce watering in winter, watering every 10-15 days. When watering, use the immersion method or water from the bottom of the pot to allow the water to naturally penetrate into the soil, avoid watering directly on the leaves, and reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests.

5. Reasonable fertilization

The money tree has a great demand for nutrients during its growing period. Generally, in summer and autumn, decomposed cake fertilizer or compound fertilizer should be applied once every two months.

6. Proper pruning

Pruning work can generally be carried out from three aspects. The first is to remove the tender tips of the branches; the second is to remove the newly grown adventitious buds on the trunk and branches, otherwise they will consume nutrients; the third is that when enough new leaves have sprouted, the old leaves can be removed to continue to promote the sprouting of new leaves.

7. Pest and disease control

Common diseases and pests of money tree are sooty fungus and scale insects. If it is sooty mold, first, cut off the dead branches; second, spray with chlorothalonil or mancozeb pesticide for prevention and control. If it is a scale insect, you can use the pesticide cypermethrin or a diluted solution of household laundry detergent to spray it for prevention and control.

In general, it is not difficult to grow a money tree, but you still have to pay attention to the good method. Especially when it comes to watering, it is necessary to adjust the watering frequency according to climate changes and the actual needs of the plants. At the same time, avoid overwatering, otherwise it will easily lead to root rot and affect the health of the plant.
