Black-skinned yellow-skinned fruit is a plant of the Rutaceae family, Citrus subfamily, and Yellow-skinned genus.

2. Morphological characteristics

Tree body: The black-skinned yellow-skinned fruit is a small tree or shrub, about 5-10 meters tall, and the twigs are usually not covered with hairs.

Leaves: The black-skinned yellow-skinned fruit has odd-pinnate compound leaves, about 16-30 cm long, with 5-13 leaflets. The leaf shape is ovate-lanceolate to lanceolate, the leaf texture is thick papery, and the leaf apex is acute, acuminate or caudate. The leaves of the black-skinned yellow-skinned fruit are asymmetrical on both sides. The surface is dark green and hairless, the back of the leaves is light green, and the leaf edges have obvious round serrations.

Flowers: The black-skinned and yellow-skinned fruit has axillary panicles, the flowers are white to light yellow, the sepals are ovate-triangular in shape, and there are 4-5 petals, which are ovate.

Fruit: The fruit of the black-skinned yellow-skinned fruit is nearly spherical, black to blue-black in color, and about 8-12 mm in diameter.

Seeds: There are 1-2 seeds inside the fruit. The seeds are oblong in shape and have a membranous seed coat.

3. Growth Environment

Black-skinned and yellow-skinned fruits mainly grow in the edges of mixed forests and limestone thickets at an altitude of 290-1600 meters, and grow well in these environments.

4. Distribution

Black-skinned and yellow-skinned fruits are mainly distributed in Guizhou, Guangxi, Guangdong, Hunan, Yunnan, Sichuan and other places in China, and in Vietnam abroad.
