Cultivation methods and precautions of Teyulian

Cultivation methods and precautions of Teyulian

1. Soil requirements

The Jade Lotus is a kind of succulent plant. Its roots cannot tolerate a watery and humid environment, so it is best grown in sandy soil with good permeability. It can be prepared with sandy soil, garden soil, leaf mold, river sand, etc. After one or two years of cultivation, the plant will grow larger and the potting soil will need to be changed.

2. Sufficient light

The color of the leaves of the Te Yu Lian is related to sunlight. The more sufficient the light, the brighter the color of the leaves of the Te Yu Lian and the more beautiful it looks. It is best to keep it outdoors where it can get plenty of sunlight. If you keep it indoors, move it to a brightly lit area. However, be careful not to expose it to the scorching sun in summer to prevent the leaves from being burned and turning yellow.

3. Reasonable watering

This plant itself contains sufficient water, so it is relatively drought-resistant. It does not need to be watered too much. Water it every seven to ten days or so, and make sure to water it thoroughly when it is dry. Do not allow water to accumulate in the pot.

4. Fertilize regularly

It does not require much fertilizer, so not too much fertilizer is needed during daily growth. Apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers once a month during the growth period. Note that the fertilizer should be thin.

5. Suitable temperature

The jade lotus is suitable for growing in an environment with suitable temperature. The temperature should not be higher than 35 degrees Celsius in summer and not lower than 5 degrees Celsius in winter, otherwise the growth rate will slow down.

6. Notes

During daily maintenance, pay attention to ventilation, prevent the occurrence of diseases and insect pests, and spray pesticides in time after they appear.
