1. What is Astragalus?

Astragalus is the root of the leguminous plant Astragalus mongolica, and is a traditional Chinese medicine with a very long history. It is a perennial herb, about fifty to one hundred centimeters in height, and its compound leaves generally have thirteen to twenty-seven leaflets, about five to ten centimeters in length. Its stem is relatively thick and upright, with long black or white hairs and branches at the top. Its flowers are yellow or light yellow in color, densely distributed, and bell-shaped in shape. As a traditional Chinese medicine, it has certain effects in regulating blood pressure, improving immunity, and replenishing qi and blood.

2. The efficacy and function of Astragalus

Regulate blood pressure: Taking Astragalus in moderation can regulate blood pressure and keep it in a relatively stable state. It is helpful for middle-aged and elderly people with unstable blood pressure.

Delaying aging: As a medicinal material, Astragalus has a mild property and can protect the heart and regulate blood pressure. It can also speed up the body's metabolism, has a certain antioxidant effect, and can delay aging.

Tonify Qi and nourish blood: It is rich in vitamins, and has a certain effect of tonifying Qi and nourishing blood for people who often suffer from symptoms such as spleen deficiency, insufficient Qi and blood. If you take it together with an appropriate amount of wolfberry and eucommia bark, the effect will be better.
