How often should I water my potted creeper and how should I propagate it?

1. How often should you water?

When growing potted creepers, it is best to water them according to the soil moisture. When watering them, the soil should be thoroughly watered. Also observe the soil moisture before watering, and water it when it is dry. But generally don't water it during the winter, otherwise the roots will rot.

2. Breeding Methods

1. Sowing method: Harvest berries and take out the seeds in September, clean and dry them, disinfect them with carbendazim, and finally store them in wet sand. Take out the seeds in March of the following year and soak them in warm water for two days. Finally, mix them with 2 parts of wet sand. Sow them after the seeds turn white. Cover them with a film and place them in a sheltered place. Remember to spray water to keep them moist.

2. Cutting method: It can be carried out in early spring. Select stems with a length of 20-30cm, disinfect them and insert them into the soil. Or it can be done in summer and autumn, choosing young branches grown that year for cuttings. You can also use 10-15cm hard branches in March and April. After cuttings, you need to water and shade them and wait for them to take root.

3. Layering method: It is best to do it in March-April or July-August. Keep 40-60cm of the stems and vines on the ground, bury the rest in the substrate and cover it with about 15cm of soil. Keep it moist in the later stage, and when the new shoots grow to about 40cm, it means the new roots have grown well. After that, dig a small section of soil ridge 10 to 15 cm below the new sprouts, and cut it at the internodes to get new seedlings.
