How to grow succulent plants Lianshan peony

Living habits of Lianshan peony

The succulent plant Lianshan peony, also known as Lianshan, is a species of rock peony in the Cactaceae family. The origin is Mexico. The hair on the warts is not obvious or even absent in childhood, but becomes very obvious in adulthood. It is drought-resistant, likes warm and dry conditions, and is relatively cold-resistant. The growing season is summer.

Maintenance tips for Lianshan peony

temperature

The outdoor temperature is controlled at around 30 degrees during the day and 20 degrees at night; the temperature inside the greenhouse is around 40 degrees during the day and 20 degrees at night. Once the ambient temperature is higher than 40 degrees, the growth of Lianshan peony becomes slow, and when the temperature exceeds 45 degrees for a long time, it is likely to stop growing. When the temperature reaches 50 degrees and there is not good ventilation, the plants will shrink rapidly, or even be burned and die.

Watering

Water thoroughly and do not allow water to accumulate. Water 6-8 times during the entire growing period. Watering is required during the winter dormancy period.

illumination

Half daylight is enough and the light requirements are not high. During the hot summer season, good sun protection and ventilation are required. High-intensity light can easily cause the leaves of the plant to turn yellow and shrink, affecting its appearance.

soil

It is best to choose sandy soil with good drainage and ventilation.

How to propagate Lianshan peony

Lianshan peony is a type of rock peony and is easy to propagate by sowing, cuttings or grafting.
