What are the changes of sunflowers in the morning, noon and evening? What time do they bloom in a day?

Sunflower, also known as sunflower, is native to Europe. It is named because its flower is shaped like the sun and can adjust the direction of its flower disk to follow the sun. Its color is also bright golden like the sun, which can bring people a warm feeling.

1. What happens to sunflowers in the morning, noon, and evening?

Generally at three o'clock in the morning every day, the sunflowers are facing the east and ready to wait for the sun to rise. When the sun rises, it will slowly become more upright under the sunlight, and gradually adjust the direction of the flower disk and leaves according to the movement of the sun. By noon, the sunflower's disk is facing south. In the afternoon, the flower disk will gradually bend to the west, and in the evening, the sunflower's flower disk will face the west. Only after the sun sets in the evening, its flower disk will droop noticeably, but the plant will remain upright, and the auxin in the body will rearrange itself and slowly return to its starting position.

However, the sunflower does not follow the sun instantly, and after its flower disk opens, it no longer turns towards the sun, but instead faces the east fixedly. This will prevent the pollen from being burned by the overly strong midday sun.

2. What time of day does it bloom?

Sunflowers usually start waiting for the sun to rise at three in the morning, and then gradually bloom between four and six in the morning. Sunflowers can bloom all year round as long as the temperature accumulates enough. When its flowers open, it takes about a week to change from a tongue shape to a tubular shape.
