Where do plum blossoms grow?

Plum blossoms are suitable for growing on sunny hillsides or by ditches at an altitude of 300-800 meters. Because plum blossoms are shallow-rooted tree species, they are suitable for growing in loose soil and deep sandy loam. They cannot be planted in places with strong winds.

The origin of plum blossoms is China, and they are widely cultivated in many places, for example, from the Taipei area to the Hubei area. The main distribution areas are: the mountainous areas of Anhui and Zhejiang, Sichuan Province, the mountainous areas of Hubei Province, Guangxi Province, Jiangxi Province, Guangdong Province and other areas.

Plum blossom growth environment

1. Water requirements

The plum blossom does not require much water. Just keep its roots moist during planting. If it takes in too much water, it will cause root rot.

2. Lighting

Plum blossoms like to grow in a warm, humid and sunny environment, so the temperature needs to be controlled above -5℃ and below 26℃, and it must be ensured that they are exposed to scattered light for more than 7 hours a day.

3. Soil pH

When cultivating plum blossoms, you need to add a small amount of fermented farm manure to the soil and then mix it with the soil. This will help the roots of the plum blossoms absorb nutrients better. In order to avoid root tangling, the soil should be loosened every 2 to 3 months so as not to affect the growth and development of the plum blossoms.
