When do grapes mature? How many years do they bear fruit?

1. When is it mature?

It usually matures between July and October each year. It depends on the region you are in. Different regions have different climatic environments, so the maturity time is also different. If it is in the southern region, where the climate is relatively warmer, it will mature earlier, between June and July. The climate in the northern region is relatively cold, and it matures later, between August and September. In northern regions, summer is the time when grapes are on the market and is also the best time to eat them.

2. Results of several years

Grapes usually start to bear fruit two to three years after being planted. Their growing period is relatively long, which can be up to 20 years or even longer. However, the time it takes to bear fruit varies with species. For example, the widely cultivated Kyoho variety usually bears fruit in the second year after planting, while the Sapphire variety only starts to bear fruit in the third year.

3. Growth habits

It requires sufficient light and a warm environment to grow. If there is a lack of light, the branches will grow thin and weak, the leaves may fall off, flower buds will not form, and the fruit clusters will also be underdeveloped. It is necessary to expose it to more light. The temperature during the growth period should be between 25-30 degrees, so that it can bloom and bear fruit better. In addition, attention should be paid to the prevention and control of diseases and pests during management.
